MobileDemand expands xCase portfolio with new Samsung offerings
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – December 15, 2022 – MobileDemand, provider of rugged tablets, cases and all-in-one mobile computing solutions for enterprise productivity, today announced the launch of the rugged and feature-rich xCase for the Android-based Samsung Galaxy Tab Active business device series. A Samsung tablet paired with additional rugged protection and add-on capabilities of the rugged xCase enables frontline workers to take an Android enterprise device into more industries and applications than ever before.

Proven rugged
The xCase adds even more protection to the already rugged Samsung Galaxy Tab Active tablets with the shock absorbing rubber corner bumpers and rigid shell. Without the xCase, the Samsung tablets meet MIL-STD-810H drop test requirements from four to five feet. With the MobileDemand xCase, the device meets the same requirements from ten feet.
The tablet’s IP68 rating and the xCase’s sealed ports protect the device from dust and water, preventing costly damage and downtime.
Mountable
The xCase enables the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active series devices to be mounted nearly anywhere, thanks to MobileDemand’s patented Snap Mount system. The snap plate, preinstalled to the back of the xCase, quickly and easily snaps into the optional mounting rail which can be securely attached to walls, beams, counters, carts, desks, vehicles; wherever the work may be. An innovative magnetic mount system is available for attaching to metal walls, sides of machinery, and vehicles without having to drill holes.
The mount system is engineered for quick insertion and release of the Samsung device, yet tough enough to withstand demanding applications.
Easy to carry and hold
Designed for the frontline worker, the xCase features a briefcase handle for easy and convenient tablet carrying while on the move, helping to prevent accidental drops. Also included is the ergonomic, glove-fitting back hand strap enabling frontline workers to easily hold the tablet in the palm of their hands while actively using the device. The flexible elastic bands are secure yet comfortable, eliminating strain from holding a tablet for an extended period.
Add-on functionality
With a long-standing commitment of providing add-on functionality to the mobile workforce, MobileDemand will continue to seek opportunities to enhance the case to include productivity-boosting components such as scan handles, integrated barcode scanners and 3-1 payment modules to further expand the device’s capabilities.
Ready to deploy, bundled solution
MobileDemand offers the xCase as a bundled solution for added convenience and quick deployment. Bundles include the preferred Samsung tablet assembled with the corresponding xCase and pre-applied standard or anti-glare screen protector. Additional accessories are also pre-assembled: stylus holder and tether, back hand strap, briefcase handle and snap plate.
